Silver Spring, MD, February 09, 2021 – PTI, a service-disabled veteran-owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is pleased to announce it has received certification as a HUBZone business by the United States Small Business Administration (SBA). The HUBZone program helps small businesses in urban and rural communities gain preferential access to federal contracting dollars. The program encourages agencies to spend a percentage of their budgets with businesses located in historically underutilized business zones.
To receive HUBZone Certification, PTI met a range of requirements that included its principal office location reside within a federally mapped HUBZone area and 35% or more of its employees within HUBZone regions. PTI also participated in a comprehensive application process that verified these requirements that have been set forth by the program and must maintain eligibility.
